Hello and welcome to my podcast, The Intuitive Marriage Method.
I’m Amanda Pott, a certified life coach, intuitive empath, slightly witchy, 420 friendly, a lover of woo woo, singing and painting.
I created the Intuitive Marriage Method and the ~ 12 Foundations ~ to help myself stay on track with my self-worth & marriage and to help couples reconnect communicate and cultivate self love within their marriage.
I survived messy relationships, a marriage that ended in domestic violence, being a single mum of 3, staying in a shelter...but never gave up on my fairytale marriage & family dream. Now I live in Canada creating the life within my second marriage that I’ve always believed was possible with my soulmate Barry & our blended family of ten & growing.
I am not a therapist or medical professional just a sarcastic wife, mum, nana, who finds passion in helping married women find their voice embrace empowerment & build soulful playful marriages.

#10 ~ Creating and Nurturing Intimacy and Emotional Safety in Marriage

Exercises for True Soulful Intimacy in Marriage
Deep Connection: The Daily Check-In
Steps:
- Set a daily time to connect without distractions.
- Each partner shares their feelings and thoughts for 5-10 minutes while the other listens.
- Reflect and respond with support and appreciation.
Goal: Strengthen emotional bonds by understanding each other's inner worlds.
Mutual Respect: The Appreciation Jar
Steps:
- Create a jar for appreciation notes.
- Write notes highlighting what you appreciate about your partner throughout the week.
- Read the notes together at the end of the week and discuss.
Goal: Foster an environment of gratitude and mutual respect.
Emotional Security: The Trust Circle
Steps:
- Set intentions to be honest, supportive, and non-judgmental.
- Share your emotional needs and boundaries.
- Create action plans to meet these needs and respect boundaries.
- Have regular check-ins to adjust plans as needed.
Goal: Build trust and ensure both partners feel safe, understood, and valued.
